Vlad Adrian Ignatescu: 2015

This year, Westminster University, MArch, Design Studio 10 annual trip was organized to Copenhagen. It was an architecture driven excursion into the random organization of a world class city. Throughout the five days there, we visited a range of new and old buildings, establishments and also took part in a final critique at the CITA University.

The intention of this trip is to investigate micro systems and their integration into the bigger context in preparation for our second semester project - Future Cities. Furthering our first semester study from a small to a large scale, we visited Christiania and the surrounding areas with the intent of understanding how a city within a city exists and what exactly it is that makes it function.

Below is a selection of photos from the trip, showing the new and old as well as the big and small architecture we saw during this short period, with the exception of Christiania, where photography is strictly forbidden.
